How long have you been writing poetry?
I have been writing poetry since sixth grade.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I usually get my inspiration from things that had affected me emotionally such as family, friends, love and just basic daily experiences that had opened my eyes.
Who is your favorite poet? Why?
My favorite poet is Langston Hughes because his poems go deep into emotions in so many different ways it touches my heart and makes me think about things twice.
What advice can you give young writers?
The best time to write is when the feeling is rich and strong in your head, don't wait on till later because that's when the words and the emotions are lost.
