How long have you been writing poetry?
Since I was in third grade. That's when I wrote my first poem.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
From real life events that have happened to me, books I've read, movies I've watched.
Who is your favorite poet? Why?
I don't really have a favorite poet. I sorta go from poet to poet, if I like a poem from one guy I'll print it out and then really just forget him. If I had to choose, probably Emily Dickinson, she so cool, always writing beautiful poems and living in her house all the time. *sigh*
What advice can you give young writers?
Well, I'm really lucky that I have my mom in my life to help me out, whether its about hw or rhyming, so take advantage of all the help you have. Write about things you love and things you hate. Remember that poems don't have to rhyme or be in a special format to be a poem.
