Sweta Vikram

Sweta Srivastava Vikram (www.swetavikram.com) is a Pushcart Nominee for 2010 and the author of two chapbooks of poetry, Because All Is Not Lost (Modern History Press) and Kaleidoscope: An Asian Journey of Colors (Modern History Press). She is also the co-author of a poetry collection, Whispering Woes of Ganges & Zambezi (Cyberwit) and Not All Birds Sing (upcoming from Cyberwit). Her first fiction novel Perfectly Untraditional (Niyogi Books) is scheduled for release in April 2011. Sweta's work has appeared in literary journals, online publications, and anthologies across United States, United Kingdom, Canada, India, New Zealand, and Philippines.

Sweta was awarded a part scholarship for Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation in San Francisco. She has held several artist residencies in Europe and America and worked on collaborative projects with artists from Zimbabwe and Australia. She is seen at poetry readings across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Sweta also teaches creative writing workshops. She is a graduate of Columbia University and lives in New York City with her husband.
