Directions
All Festival locations are accessible from the Roosevelt Ave subway stop in Queens. The 7, E, F, G, R, and V trains all stop at Roosevelt Ave. The 82nd street stop on the 7 local train is closest to Terraza Cafe for First Tuesdays.
Walking directions from the train to all JHPF events:
The Poetry Workshops and the full-day Poetry Festival are held at Garden School. It is located at 33-16 79th St, Jackson Heights NY. To get there from the Roosevelt Ave subway stop, exit near the intersection of 74th St and 37th Rd. Walk east on 37th Rd and turn left onto 76th St. Walk three blocks, then turn right onto 34th Ave and then left onto 79th St. The entrance is on 79th St between 34th Ave and Northern Blvd.
The First Tuesdays Open Readings are held at Terraza Cafe. It is located at 40-19 Gleane St., Jackson Heights, NY. To get there, take the 7 local train to the 82nd street stop. Walk along Roosevelt Avenue up the streets, Terraza will be to your right, off Roosevelt Avenue between 83rd and 84th streets on Gleane street. It has a pink sign outside.
Driving directions from Manhattan to the Poetry Workshops:

Driving directions from upstate NY, NJ and PA to the Poetry Workshops:
Take the GW Bridge to the Triboro Bridge. Take the Grand Central towards Queens and get off at the Northern Boulevard exit. Drive straight on Northern Blvd and turn right onto 78th St. Turn left on 34th Ave and left on 79th St. The entrance to the school is on 79th St between 34th Ave and Northern Blvd.

The First Tuesdays Open Readings are held at Terraza Cafe. It is located at 40-19 Gleane St in Jackson Heights, NY. Just follow any of the above directions from Manhattan into Queens. Exit on Northern Blvd/Exit 41, and drive straight on Northern Blvd. Turn right onto 82nd street and drive straight to Roosevelt Avenue, make a left onto Roosevelt. Make a right onto Gleane Street. Terraza Cafe is between 83rd and 84th streets on Gleane street. It has a pink sign outside.
