2008 Student Contest
The Winners of the 2008 Jackson Heights Poetry Festival Student Contest
The poetic talent of Queens students truly shined this year in the first annual Jackson Heights Poetry Festival Student Contest. Poems were submitted from dozens of schools across Queens, with truly impressive results.

The JHPF would like to thank the judges. Jonathan Galassi of Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and Roger Bonair-Agard and Lynne Procope of the LouderARTS Project generously contributed their time and expertise to help select the winners.

This is an annual competition. Check out the 2009 Contest page and join our email list to make sure you are updated just as soon as details about this year's competititon are released.
