The Jackson Heights Poetry Festival is a 3 day event involving workshops taught by professors and poets, a poetry slam, and a series of poetry readings. A poetry contest for students in grades 6 – 12, will also be conducted, with the winners presenting their poetry in public readings during the Festival. The JHPF Student Poetry Contest is an annual contest involving all the public and private middle and high schools in Queens. All students from grades 6-12 are invited to submit their work.
